Willy Paul Fires Back to Mwijaku’s Threats He Won’t See 2025
Tanzanian radio personality Mwijaku has stirred up controversy by threatening Kenyan singer Willy Paul, claiming he “won’t make it to 2025.”
This statement has sparked further tension in an ongoing rivalry between Willy Paul and Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz, which began after the recent Furaha City Festival in Nairobi.
The conflict began when Diamond Platnumz failed to perform at the festival, citing issues with the event organizers. Willy Paul then accused Diamond and other Tanzanian artists of receiving more support than Kenyan performers, which sparked a fiery dispute that has been widely discussed across East Africa.
In a video, Mwijaku, a close supporter of Diamond, sent a harsh message to Willy Paul, saying:
“Willy Paul, you have crossed the line. If you make it to 2025, then I am not Mwijaku.”
Willy Paul quickly responded by sharing the video on Instagram, standing firm in his beliefs and expressing confidence in his future:
“Kenyan artists deserve respect. Now, what’s this? Is standing with the truth wrong? I will make it through to 2025 and beyond, in Jesus’ name. As I said, I will fight for my country and the Kenyan industry until we get the respect we deserve.”
