Two Students Die as Septic Tank Collapses at Ramba Boys School
The Ramba Boys High School community is grieving after a heartbreaking incident that resulted in the loss of two students.
The tragedy unfolded on the evening of Saturday, March 22, when a septic tank within the school premises collapsed, trapping the learners beneath.
The two victims were finalists at the extra-county institution located in Rarieda Constituency, Siaya County.
Local authorities and school officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The devastating event has left students, teachers, and parents in shock.
Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo confirmed the incident and expressed his sorrow over the loss.
“Another tragedy! Saddened to learn two young boys at Ramba Boys High School have lost their lives after a septic tank collapsed! May their young souls know peace, even as we continue investigating the circumstances,” the lawmaker posted on X.
The authorities are working to establish whether negligence or structural failure contributed to the accident. More details are expected as the investigation progresses.
