Tensions Soar in Pumwani as Protesters Burn Government Building

A group of enraged youths in Pumwani has burned down a government office during ongoing protests that began last night.

Videos and images reviewed by skynews.co.ke captured a massive blaze consuming the building, while a police vehicle parked nearby appeared dangerously close to the raging fire.

According to reports, the unrest was triggered by the alleged fatal shooting of two young men by police officers on Tuesday night.

Law enforcement officers dispatched to control the situation used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators, but tensions in the area remain high.

As the protests intensify, social justice organizations have reported that three more individuals are missing, as police continue efforts to break up the unruly gatherings.

Additionally, some houses believed to belong to members of the National Police Service have reportedly been set on fire as the demonstrations gain momentum.
