Peter Kaluma Ignites Buzz with Plans to Meet Trump in America

Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament, Peter Kaluma, has stirred interest after announcing his intention to meet former US President Donald Trump during his official visit to Washington, DC.

The legislator, who is currently in the United States on official business, made the declaration on his social media account X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Kaluma expressed deep admiration for Trump, calling him the most effective President America has ever had.

“In Washington DC on official business. I’ll seek to meet my man and the best President the USA has ever had @realDonaldTrump – the leader who has kept all his promises to the people of the United States of America,” Kaluma posted.

This declaration comes at a time when Donald Trump has made a dramatic return to the White House and started his new term with a flurry of sweeping executive orders. Many of these directives reverse policies put in place by his predecessor, Joe Biden.

Among the most controversial orders Trump signed on his first day back was one aiming to curb automatic citizenship for children born in the United States to undocumented immigrants.

The new policy would apply if the child’s mother was in the U.S. illegally and the father was not a citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of birth. The order also restricts birthright citizenship if the mother’s presence in the U.S. was considered lawful but only temporary.

Another headline-making move was Trump’s decision to pull the United States out of the World Health Organization (WHO). During the signing, Trump criticized the global health body, accusing it of mishandling the Covid-19 pandemic and failing the American people.

“World Health ripped us off, everybody rips off the United States. It’s not going to happen anymore,” Trump declared during the signing ceremony.

In addition to immigration and global health decisions, Trump initiated other sweeping changes.

He revoked a non-binding Biden-era executive order that set a goal for 50% of new vehicles sold by 2030 to be electric. Trump also reclassified thousands of federal employees as political appointees, a move that significantly reduces job security and increases ease of dismissal.

He didn’t stop there. Trump also signed an order to eliminate what he called “gender ideology” from all federal government documents, forms, and policies. According to the directive, official policy now recognizes only two genders—male and female.

Furthermore, Trump ordered renaming of two major landmarks: the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska’s Mount Denali, although the exact new names have yet to be disclosed.

Kaluma’s admiration for Trump appears rooted in the former president’s unflinching approach to policy and commitment to fulfilling campaign promises—traits Kaluma believes exemplify true leadership.

While it remains unclear whether Kaluma will successfully arrange a meeting with Trump during his stay in Washington, his public appeal has already gained attention both at home and abroad.

As Kaluma continues his official engagements in the United States, his bold outreach to a polarizing global figure like Donald Trump underscores his willingness to align with leaders who exhibit strong nationalist ideals and firm policy convictions.

Whether or not the Peter Kaluma Trump meeting materializes, the MP’s declaration has already positioned him uniquely in the global political conversation.
