Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya is basking in the limelight after receiving what appears to be a flirtatious signal from renowned Kenyan socialite and businesswoman Huddah Monroe.
The drama unfolded on Saturday, September 7, 2024, when Huddah posted a cryptic message on her Instagram stories, hinting at her newfound affection for the youthful lawmaker.
“Kulala ni chini ya Salasya,” Huddah wrote, which loosely translates to, “The only way I can sleep is under Salasya.” The post sent ripples through social media, and Salasya, who has been vocal about his admiration for the socialite, was quick to respond.
Salasya could hardly contain his excitement, taking to social media to express his joy. “Leo nalala na viatu…nothing makes a man happy to realise he is loved by a woman openly. Despite the budding romance, Huddah has laid out stringent conditions for Salasya to meet if he hopes to win her heart. On August 30, 2024, she specified that any romantic meeting must occur at a five-star hotel, specifically in a presidential suite filled with orange roses—her favorite.
Moreover, Salasya would need to pay a greeting fee of Ksh3,870,000, or she would remain silent throughout the entire meetup. “I don’t want any Isukuti dancing at the airport. I’m private. I only hold meetings at the JW Marriott, presidential suite… filled with orange roses. And don’t forget the $30,000 for greetings, or I won’t speak at all,” she declared.
