MP Beatrice Elachi Mourns the Loss of Her Son, Elvis Murakana
The Dagoretti North community is in mourning following the devastating loss of Elvis Murakana, son of Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi.
Murakana tragically passed away on Tuesday, March 25th, succumbing to injuries sustained in a severe road accident. He had been receiving intensive care treatment prior to his passing.
President William Ruto extended his heartfelt condolences to MP Elachi and her family, offering words of comfort during this difficult time. “May God grant Mheshimiwa Beatrice Elachi and the family strength to bear with the loss of their dear son, Elvis Murakana. Be comforted by the word of the Lord in Psalm 147:3: ‘He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds,'” stated the President.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), the party that sponsored Elachi’s election, also expressed their deep sorrow. “May God grant Hon. Beatrice Elachi (MP, Dagoretti North) and her family the fortitude and strength to overcome the pain of losing her son Elvis Murakana Namenya. It is such a huge loss to Mheshimiwa. As a party we stand with her during this difficult moment of mourning and grief,” the party conveyed.
Busia County Woman Representative Catherine Omanyo joined the chorus of condolences, stating, “My heart goes out to Hon. Beatrice Elachi and her family following the tragic loss of their son. On behalf of my family and the people of Busia County, I extend my deepest condolences. Pole sana.”
Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Robert Alai also offered his sincere sympathies. “It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family on the tragic loss of your son, Elvis Murakana,” Alai expressed. “As the MCA for Kileleshwa Ward, I join the people of Dagoretti North and beyond in mourning this profound loss. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time.”
The community now rallies around MP Elachi, offering support and solidarity during this period of immense grief.
