Millicent Omanga Buys Ksh 26m Bentley Bentayga as Kenyans Question Lavish Spending
United Democratic Alliance (UDA) politician Millicent Omanga is once again in the spotlight for her taste in high-end vehicles, having recently purchased a luxurious Bentley Bentayga valued at approximately KSh 26 million.
This follows her earlier splurge on a 2024 Range Rover, which she bought in May, capturing widespread attention.
Omanga, known for her lively online presence, proudly shared the news of her latest acquisition on social media, giving thanks for her blessings. “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows,” she captioned a video showing herself behind the wheel of the new Bentley. This statement comes in line with her earlier sentiments from May when she shared images of her Range Rover on social media, saying, “My new baby. Date of birth: 2024. Ni God!”
The Bentley Bentayga, handcrafted in the United Kingdom, is a luxury SUV known for its detailed craftsmanship, which includes premium leather upholstery, real wood trim, and a customizable design for a bespoke experience.
According to Car and Driver, the starting price for the Bentayga is around KSh 26 million, though prices can soar depending on customizations, engine upgrades, and trim options, with choices that include both a V8 and a hybrid V6 engine. The vehicle also features advanced safety measures, such as automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and even night vision—a feature fit for discerning drivers like Omanga.
However, Omanga’s lavish purchase has sparked mixed reactions among Kenyans, with some questioning the source of her funds. Christopher Osiga commented, “Leaders buy new high-end vehicles every month, while common people die in hospital because they lack medical attention.” Another social media user, Jeff Mahiuha, speculated, “No business or employment can buy you this. We all know how it was gotten.”
While many critics voiced concerns, others expressed admiration. Winny Aty cheered Omanga on, saying, “Congratulations. Clapping for others till it’s my turn.”
Despite the mixed reactions, Omanga’s penchant for luxury seems unwavering. Reflecting on her Range Rover purchase, she had previously described it as “the biggest risk” she had taken, noting her enjoyment of the car’s massage seats—a feature she especially valued.
