Meet Busia Woman Who Claims She Is Reincarnation of Mary, Mother of Jesus
A woman from Nangoma village in Busia County has shocked many after declaring that she is the reincarnation of Mary, the mother of Jesus.
Judith Nafula, a committed Catholic, says she had a powerful vision where a bright light from heaven appeared with Jesus at the center.
Speaking to NTV, Nafula shared her experience, saying Jesus revealed her true identity.
“A light came from the sky, and Jesus asked me where Mother Mary was. When I said I didn’t know, He told me I was Mary,” she said.
After the vision, Nafula says she was spiritually led to a nearby hill, where she spent two months alone, praying and speaking with the Holy Spirit.

Her husband, John Wekullo, also says he received a divine message telling him he is Joseph—Mary’s husband in the Bible.
Nafula believes her spiritual transformation has given her the power to perform miracles. However, these claims led to her being thrown out of her local church.
“They thought I had lost my mind and kicked me out,” she said.
Despite being rejected by her church, her home has become a popular site for people looking for healing and blessings.
Relatives and neighbors say they’ve seen miraculous events at her home, including people being healed and women regaining their fertility. These stories have strengthened their belief in her holy role.
Nafula now joins a growing list of individuals from Western Kenya who claim to be divine.
In past years, Jehovah Wanyonyi and Yesu wa Tongaren have also made headlines. Wanyonyi claimed to be God before passing away in 2015, while Yesu wa Tongaren still leads a group in Bungoma County that believes he is Jesus Christ reborn.
