Kindiki Speaks Out After Skipping Ruto’s New Year Party
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has finally spoken out following widespread speculation about his absence from President William Ruto’s New Year celebration.
The event, held on Tuesday, December 31, at Kisii State Lodge, sparked online rumors suggesting a potential disagreement between Kindiki and Ruto. While Kindiki has been in office for about two months, he opted not to directly respond to these claims.
Instead, in a message shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, January 1, Kindiki encouraged Kenyans to focus on unity and development as the new year begins. “Now is the time for each citizen to renew their commitment to working harder for a brighter future and a more united nation,” read part of his statement.
He also emphasized the importance of striving toward a society free from fear and poverty. Kindiki concluded his post with a prayer, expressing hope for God’s blessings on the country. “This way, we will accelerate the realization of a society free from fear and want. God bless this our land and nation,” he added.
Itumbi Dismisses Rift Claims
Meanwhile, Dennis Itumbi, Head of Creative Economy and Special Projects, dismissed rumors of a fallout between Ruto and Kindiki.
Speaking on social media, Itumbi labeled the claims as unfounded and urged critics to come up with more credible allegations. He affirmed that both leaders are united in their mission to deliver on their promises to Kenyans.
Itumbi further assured that the Kenya Kwanza administration’s achievements in the new year would showcase its commitment to improving the lives of citizens.
