Another Serial Killer? Homicide Detectives Retrieve Body from Shallow Grave in Trans Nzoia

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have exhumed the body of an unidentified woman in Trans Nzoia County, deepening concerns over a possible new serial killer in the region.

The chilling discovery was made on Monday, September 9, in Kaliwa village, Waitaluk ward, after police obtained a court order to unearth what is feared to be more bodies buried in shallow graves.

Trans Nzoia County police commander Jeremiah Ole Kosiom confirmed the grim findings, explaining that authorities took swift action after apprehending two suspects linked to the case. “We have two suspects in custody, and we will know the whole truth,” Kosiom stated. The suspects, whose identities remain concealed pending further investigations, are believed to have played a significant role in the events leading to the woman’s death and burial.

The exhumation, led by Trans Nzoia DCI boss Paul Songok, saw homicide detectives carefully retrieve the woman’s body, which had been hastily wrapped in a blanket and buried without a casket.

The discovery was made outside a mud house, with the shallow grave offering a stark and unsettling picture of what might be a more extensive criminal operation.

Authorities are investigating whether the two arrested suspects are part of a larger, more sinister plot that could involve multiple victims. The DCI has deployed homicide officers to secure the crime scene and continue the search for any other bodies that may be buried nearby.

While the identity of the exhumed woman remains unknown, her fate has sent shockwaves through the Kaliwa village community, raising concerns about safety and the potential for more gruesome findings. Residents of the village have been left on edge as the investigation unfolds.

As detectives work to unravel the mystery behind the body in the shallow grave, more arrests and revelations are expected.
